Andrey Sirotkin
Andrey Sirotkin is a music producer & DJ from Kyiv, Ukraine.
After an initial phase of experimentation with sound and music of different genres, Andrey starts to focus on techno music from 2013 onwards, producing techno music under his project “Shades of Drums”. A debut EP called “The Universe” is released the same year. Follows then three releases, “Cyclic numbers/02” (digital), and “CNEP01” & “CNEP02” on vinyl over the years from 2014 to 2019. At this point, the producer starts to focus on hardware sounds and become Andrey Sirotkin. Things take off quickly with EP releases on Rune Records, on Corridor Audio and Subself Records.
2021 is a breakthrough year with “Vyrij”, an acclaimed EP released on Mystictrax and supported by Jack Doe and Richie Hawtin.
2022 marks the start of the war with Russia but Andrey keeps himself by starting his own radioshow at Kyiv-based new radio Gasoline. The show, called “Against the Grain” is dedicated to non-mainstream, deep, atmospheric and experimental electronic music. By the end of 2022, Andrey also starts his own label Vyrii Records, producing artists in genres such as Deep Techno, Leftfield Techno, Dub Techno, ambient, field recordings...
2024 is starting on the starting blocks for Andrey Sirotkin, as he is making his debut on Thisbe Recordings by teaming up with Pyrame on a new single to be released in September 2024, and also featuring remixes by Joseph & Joyce, A-Tweed & Oltrefuturo, and Acid Washed.
