Back in 2022, Philip Lawns was busy writing the soundtrack to an epic journey across the Aegean Sea: Ten Years of Travel—an LP inspired by Ulysses’ legendary journey. This time, life handed him an even bigger adventure: fatherhood.

In his new EP inspired by the arrival of his daughter and featuring the heartfelt “Virginia” alongside the groovy “Disko Randagio”, Philip Lawns once again showcases his signature sound: a seamless fusion of cosmic disco and synth-driven electronica. Less mythology, more sleepless nights. Equally life-changing.

The title track "Virginia" drifts between emotion and euphoria, wrapped in warm synths and the kind of melody that sticks around long after the music stops. On the flip side, "Disko Randagio" does exactly what its name suggests - wandering confidently through cosmic grooves, disco sparkle and late-night energy.

Together, the two tracks capture everything that makes Philip Lawns' sound so distinctive: cinematic atmospheres, nostalgic textures, driving rhythms and just enough space-dust to keep things floating somewhere between the club and the stars.

There is a distinctive musical language in Philip Lawns’ productions that naturally inspires reinterpretation. As such, the EP also comes with a set of remixes from artists who clearly understood the assignment.

Remixing the title track, rising star Amarcord brings his electro meets modern new wave signature touch, while Naobum takes the original into deeper and more hypnotic territory. Remixing “Disko Randadio”, CCorrado injects his Sicilian house flavor, while THISBE founder Pyrame closes the circle with an epic rework.

Virginia arrives on July the 16th via THISBE Recordings and all digital platforms.
